  • The corresponding author is that author to whom all correspondence regarding the abstract will be sent. If there is only a single author, that author is always the corresponding author.
  • **Other authors and their affiliations in brackets should be listed, separated by commas. For example: John Smith (University of Johannesburg), Mary Jones (University of Cape Town) etc.
  • Abstract text should be copied and pasted into the [Abstract Text] box.
  • All abstracts are limited to 250 words maximum.
  • All abstracts will be subject to peer-review by the conference scientific committee. Final acceptance of abstracts may be conditional upon revision, depending on the reviewer's decision.
  • All abstracts will be screened for plagiarism. Abstracts with evidence of plagiarism will be rejected.
  • All abstracts of research involving human participants must indicate that ethical aproval was obtained from a National Health Research Ethics Committee-registered research ethics committee. Abstracts of research involving human participants that has not been ethically approved as above will be rejected.
  • The deadline for abstract submissions is 10 June 2020.
  • Notification of peer-review outcome will be communicated at the latest by 15 June 2020. Notification will be to the email address of the corresponding author.
  • All presenters of accepted abstracts (oral and posters) will be required to register for the conference and pay the applicable registration fee.
